Lawrence aka "Big Weight" was born on August. 19, 1985 in Shreveport, Louisiana. "Big Weight" was raised in a strong family, a mother who tirelessly worked 2 jobs and his father stoically worked to provide and raise his children while fighting a long term illness. His parents inspired him and their work ethic and sacrifice would mold Paul into the artist he is today. Paul's interest in music started at age 4 while hanging out with his older brother listening to artists like 8-Ball, MJG, Fat Pat, and Ugk. His fascination continued to grow until he spent most of his time composing, listening and learning everything he could about Hip Hop. At age 11 "Big Weight" composed his first real "Flow" which he named "Money in the Bank". He entered the school talent show and won second prize. From that moment forward "Big Weight" was hooked. Over the next 10 years Paul refined his craft. Earning praise from Artists like R.I.P. Big Moe and others. Today Paul "Big Weight" lives in Dallas, TX. Today Paul is taking Dallas by storm with a Street track called "I Can't Let the Game Go" and a club banger called "I Jump Judy". He can be found Performing at the 8 Lounge, Encore, and Club Copa Dallas. "I Jump Judy" has been played at clubs like Club Matrix, Rio, Oui, and Azul thanks to the godfather of DJ's. With a DJ's like Dj Big Baby, Fast Life Dj's especially Dj One Touch, Dj Flawless and Dj Undastood all showing big time love for the track and "Big Weight" as a rising star.
